• Why should I volunteer?

  Volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio is a great way to help teach young people valuable life lessons and learn something about yourself in return. When you volunteer with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio, you can make a difference in the lives of kids and teens and help them prepare to be tomorrow’s leaders.

• What types of volunteer opportunities does Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio offer?

  Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio offers volunteer opportunities for both corporations and individuals. Volunteers can participate in one-time projects or recurring opportunities when available.

• How do I start the volunteer process?

  To start the volunteer process, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form. Someone will reach out to you within three business days.

• How old do you have to be to volunteer?

  You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer directly with kids. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Ohio allows individuals under the age of 18 to participate in group volunteer projects where there is no interaction with Club members such as Club beautification projects, Holiday gift wrapping, etc.

• Do I need a background check to volunteer?

  Criminal background checks are required for all volunteer opportunities that extend beyond a one-time commitment. Volunteers are responsible for paying the cost of $X to process the background check.
